Updating the TRX-2

Hi everyone,

I am expecting to receive my TRX-2 shortly and would like to know what is the latest firmware version out at the moment?

Also, can someone explain to me in simple terms how to update to the latest firmware via EZ Scan and what "PC Driver" and "CPU Firmware Installer" are used for.

You do not need the CPU Firmware Installer. Just install the USB driver, which "activates" your USB port on your PC to accept and recognize the scanner when it's plugged in via the USB cable. Then install EZScan, and EZscan will do the upgrade for you. It will pop up and say "do you want to check for Upgrades"? Click yes, and after a few seconds it will show you what upgrades are available (scanner firmware, CPU firmware, and RR database). Basically, just click yes to all and let it upgrade, takes about 3 to 5 minutes.

It's very easy, don't sweat it.
