With rebanding now in progress, there seems to be some people that are confused as to what needs to be done to update scanners for the change. I wasn't even sure until just a couple weeks ago. Its really quite simple, all control channels that are currently above 865mhz will be lowered by 15mhz. All you need to do is go through and subtract 15mhz off of each control channel. (primary and alternate) Since I've already updated my scanner, I figured I would go ahead and make it a little easier for everyone and post the frequencies for the systems that most of us here in the metro probably listen to the most.

After rebanding, the control channel frequencies will be as follows:

101 Metro:
I don't believe there will be any changes to the Metro system since all channels are below 865mhz.

109 Minneapolis:
852.0375
852.1375
853.1625
853.8125

102 Anoka Co:
853.3875
851.9375
852.3875
852.8875

201 East Hennepin:
852.1625
852.2875
852.3625
853.8375

202 West Hennepin:
852.2625
852.6125
853.6375
853.8875

203 Ramsey Co:
852.0875
852.3625
853.7125
853.7625

107 Washington Co: (Already rebanded on 4-1)
853.7375
852.7875
853.1875

106 Cambridge/North Branch:
845.2625
852.4625
853.0500

104 Carver Co:
852.4375
851.8875
851.0750
853.7875

103 Dakota Co:
851.1625
853.0625
853.3125
853.5625

You can go ahead and program the new frequencies along with the current ones, your scanner will find them when they become active. Just make sure you don't delete the old frequencies on each system until after that system is rebanded.

No problem. I should add that the Cambridge/North Branch system has also been rebanded. I was up in that area today and it is operating on the new frequencies.

Just a heads up, Anoka County (site 102) just did their rebanding today. Around noon - 1 PM I noticed my scanner was switching back and forth between the old frequencies and the new ones. At about 1:15 I heard a dispatcher announce that radio work had been completed. Since then, they have been operating on the new frequencies and the old ones are inactive. Everything seems to be running smoothly so far. My 396 never missed a beat, even during the switchover. There didn't seem to be any communication problems on the system either.

Yeah, someone over on ScanFan said they heard Hennepin and Ramsey were going to wait on their rebanding until after the Republican National Convention.

Thank you for the updates.

Forgive my ignorance.....but why the fuss about firmware updates if all we need to do is enter the rebanded frequencies? I must be missing some point!!

No problem...I just thought I would make it easier on everyone and possibly avoid a bunch of "OMG my scanner quit working" threads. Not to mention all I really did was copy and paste the frequencies after I updated them in my ARC396 file.

The firmware fuss is because updates will be needed for some trunking systems, but not P-25 systems like ARMER.

Those frequencies are the old ones for Anoka Co. The ones you will want to use are listed at the top of this thread. If you were able to listen to Anoka Co before, just program those frequencies into the system and it will be working again. The TGIDs are still the same.

Not sure what you are getting at with the different cities, but those you listed are all dispatched by Anoka Co.

Henn. East rebanding

Any idea when Hennepin East will be rebanded? Bloomington is still on the 867.3625 CC and it's pretty awful, with choppy audio and noise bursts. Using the 396 and R/S 2096.
