UPMAN 396t scanner not registered anymore

Just went into Uniden web site to update my 396t scanner and it says it's not registered, I regestered the scanner before so I could get all the update to date, I have version 3.01.00 in the scanner now, Do I have to go and re-register the scanner and put in all the information on the register page, and will it let me register the same scanner again, ??? under my same email address, how do I go about this so I can get the latest update.

weird just did mine and it worked fine i just copied and pasted in the reg key and loaded the software from pauls link

i did notice that the new firmware wasnt in my scanners i got it from the link

Yes I did and there was no problem.

Paul I had the same issue, no scanner listed but my cordless phone showed up. I re-registered my scanner and got a new software key.

Well, Mike, your's I was able to retrieve (so now you have it twice...but I wanted to make sure my "recover" tool was still working).

Saint you shouldnt even need a registration... (if your just trying to install the new firmware)

if your on V3 you can install the new firmware (dont click off "major version update"

:wink:Hi Upman Just wanted to let you know I re-registered my 396 scanner and it is now back in my list and I downloaded the new update and installed it and everything worked perfect, thanks for your help.
