I'm sure your plate is quite full, but I wanted to steer your attention to a discussion pertaining to the interaction of the ARC 536 software and the scanner, on the chance you may not have seen it.
It looks like a couple of issues are cropping up where the potential of the ARC 536 is being limited by the scanner.
They are logging of Alpha tagged Unit IDs and the scanner switching itself from Serial Port to Mass Storage.
