UPman, everywhere I look they are out of stock of the HP-1 window mount. Do you have any at the factory or know of someone with stock?
Thanks!

HP-1 Window Mount

While Uniden may be out of the window mount kit for the HP-1, you can purchase the mounting bracket and RAM mount separately. Mounting bracket is Uniden part number BCKHP-1 and windshield mount assembly is RAM part number RAM-B-166-UND1U. You will find multiple sources for both of these when you Google the part numbers. Go to Mounting Bracket Kit For HomePatrol-1 - Accessories at Uniden for the bracket.

My RAM Mount

I've got a RAM Mount that uses the windshield suction cup type of mount and it works just fine. It holds my Uniden 396T without any problems, but I don't know the difference in weight between the 396 and the HP-1.

See for yourself how it looks.

Hope this helps a little.

Russell

I like the window suction cup design at RAM Mounts for the Uniden HomePatrol-1 but wonder if the weight of the HP 1 will be too much. Anyone have this?

I've used that mount for years for a Garmin GPS 60, it's as heavy or heavier than the HP1. I've used it with the HP1, but it also rested against the dash.

It feels like it would take > 10lbs to pull one if, if stuck on properly.

I've seen them used with GoPro's also. Good mount, as are most RAM products.
