UPMan and others,
I have an APX6000XE that has voice announcements for channel names and zone names. Would it be possible to take a .wav file of the voice and replace one of the "Alt Tone" sounds on the scanner with the voice .wav file? Then assign each channel I want to have the voice announcement the "Alt Tone" which has been replaced with a .wav of the voice from the APX.
For example. Channel "CITY-1". if i could replace "Alt Tone 1" with a .wav from the APX saying "CITY 1" then assign that channel in the scanner "alt tone 1"... when i go to CITY-1 in the scanner it would voice announce rather than playing the standard alt tone 1.
Thoughts?
