UPMan,

I saw a post where you stated "I’ve been very surprised that none of the software developers have taken advantage of the improvements in RSSI reporting", I have not been able to find the updated protocol for the BCD996T.

I installed the latest update and read through the documentation. A note with the update states "Added ESN, QSC, CSC, and PWR to the PC protocol. See separate PC protocol for details." but I have been unable to find the details. I down loaded the protocol from the Uniden site but it seems to be the same document that has been there for some time.

Numerous Google searches have turned up nothing. Could you please point me in the right direction?

Thanks,

I'm curious as to what the command PWR is used for. Perhaps it is a power-on command thru software. Interesting.

Wishful thinking...

Let's wait and see the new protocol document to investigate further...

I know some of icom's radio control software can turn the unit/radio off and/or on, so maybe uniden's can as well
