PSR-500: Gotta have a reference sample (though I have no clue how to program it).

Guitar: That one is new, today. There is a 2nd one in the picture, but it is hanging edge-on to the camera to the left of the one you can see. Aria Sinsonido is my travel/lunch practice guitar. G&L ASAT Special is courtesy of American Express Blue Points. UPDATE: Retook the picture w/both guitars visible.

Getting the desk (and the rest of the office) that clean took me 4 hours this morning. I clean up my office once a year...whether it needs it or not.

Hooray Black! I was worried because the FCC pics were black, but the BCD996T was too before it was released

Nice office setup! What, if I may ask, do you do for a leaving? No specific details required or if you cannot/refuse to answer, that is ok.

And, whoa! Wait a sec! How do you have a BCD996XT?!?!?!?!? Does that have something to do with your job or are you not in the United States? Didn't know those were "out" yet. Or, atleast, I'm pretty certain they are not.

I too need to bring my electric guitar into the office. It will help relieve stress.

*Smacks Head* Not that I would have guessed that exactly, I was close.

That must be an awesome job. Rock on.

I like to see math problems sometimes. Always good to see a nice summation on the board but I enjoyed integrals, derivatives, and linear equations more my self.

So, I stripped out all the edits on your picture and noticed that you had the Radio Shack webpage up on your screen! :)

I know that the primary reason for the scanners on your desk is testing and evaluation, but when you are letting them do their thing, what do you monitor?

The guitar breaks down to a gig bag that will fit safely in an airplane overhead. Action is similar to my acoustic...but it is nearly silent when playing (Sin sonido means "without sound" in Spanish) so I can practice at lunch without bothering my coworkers. Has a 1/4 inch pickup, but also headphone jack that I use to hear myself. The Aria Sinsonido AS-100S Guitar

When I'm not testing the scanners, they are typically off...and I run Radio Paradise - Commercial Free Internet Radio - Online radio hand-mixed by real humans - Modern & classic rock, electronica, world music & more. quietly in the background. I make exceptions for severe weather outbreaks (RACES and Skywarn get scanned, then).

Nice guitar and PSR-500!!!! ;)

Only way to see radio id's in that office, just kidding of course. I love my Uniden and always will, just making light of other post topics (not that I wouldn't purchase a new 396xt once radio ID was added). 73's

Hi UPMan! The picture of your office makes you less of a mysterious radio sorcerer and more of a regular guy. Just wanted to thank you again on all the advice you've given me on the 396XT. I've been scanning for a lot of years and always preferred Uniden products, ( I owned the first programmable hand held unit you guys made, I believe it was the first in the industry, and used to have the four channel Fanon Hand helds, my first scanners)! My point is that if I wasn't a Uniden advocate before I am now primarily due to your hands on approach to being active in the forums. Keep up the great work! ..............John.
