Working Kitchen Fire in Upper Oxford

Friday, February 26th, 2010 at 1259 hours, the Union Fire Company of Oxford, the Cochranville Fire Company and West Grove Station 12 for an Engine were alerted for a house fire on the 100 block
of Pusey Mill Road in Upper Oxford Township.

Safety 27, Neff, arrived on scene at 1306 hours reporting a kitchen fire.

Engine 27-1 responded with five at 1307 hours and
Engine 27-5 responded at 1309 hours.

Chief 21 arrived on scene at 1311 and reported a working kitchen fire. He then established “Pusey
Mill Command.”

Engine 27-1 arrived on scene at 1314 hours.

At 1317 hours, “Pusey Mill Command” advised all other incoming units to reduce speed.

Engine 27-1’s crew helped with natural ventilation and checking for extension.

At 1321 the fire was placed under control.

All 27 units returned available by 1325 hours.
