Does anyone have any frequencies for the U.S. Forest Service in the Upper Peninsula? I used to listen to them in the Hiawatha National Forest in the Munising area, but have long ago lost the frequency list that they were on.

They may have joined the MPSCS APCO-25 digital system. Check the Database here on "RR".

Ottawa Nat'l Forest Repeater - 169.1250, analog, from my 1999 list. Database here confirms that. Sure would be nice to have access to the IRAC database...

I hear Ottawa Forest Service Ranger's 2 and 3 on TG 27P911. I hear some of the other Nat'l Forest personnel on 169.1250 too. I got the Apostle Island Nat'l FS boats on the scanner too. They are busy now.

Whats the IRAC database Rev?

ffexpCP,

I have a cabin in the Hiawatha Forest near Munising. I get excellent reception out there from a number of towers, and it includes all the usual, except I'm NOT hearing US Forest Service; lots of DNR, but not USFS. When you said you were hearing Hiawatha Nat'l Forest on MPSCS, were you referring to the eastern unit of the Hiaw. Forest?

I would assume so, I've heard the USFS water bombers on the SSM tower. I see them fly overhead quite often. They're usually low enough to see the USFS decal on the side.
