While trying a 28mhz mobile whip I tuned across the 27mhz CB band
here in Brisbane Australia, I heard on 27.385mhz Indiana Jones
and a little bit later I heard VK8VF beacon in Darwin Australia on 28.268mhz

Skip appears to be pretty awesome right now. In Canada I'm getting lots of American and other comms including some which might be Mexican. I think some other folks in the USA are getting Japanese comms.
