The US Cellular Coliseum in Bloomington, Illinois, is home to the Bloomington Extreme indoor football team and the Bloomington Prairie Thunder minor league hockey team. The first event was held this passed weekend.

I am curious if anyone has confirmed frequencies used at this new venue...

These are my guesses as to freqs which may be related to events at the arena. If you can confirm any of these and/or find other relevant freqs, please post:

Police
453.150 (127.3) Bloomington PD 1
453.925 (127.3) Bloomington PD 2/Proactive units
460.125 (127.3) Bloomington PD 3
155.130 (000.0) Bloomington PD "2" car-car informal

Fire/EMS
EF Johnson LTR for Bloomington Fire/Rescue
461.950 (88.5) Lifeline EMS

Other
453.425 (141.3) Bloomington Public transit (shuttle buses?)
453.100 (118.8) Bloomington Parks/Rec (maybe for the Pepsi Ice Arena?)

Radio broadcast
93.7 WTRX 'The oldies channel' (game play-by-play)

A Pantagraph article mentioned something about radio usage, but gave no answer. It did say that arena staff will have US Cellular 'speed talk' phones so that they can communicate with each other.

I saw a picture of the Bloomington Extreme football coaches wearing Telex headsets, so don't plan on being able to listen to them.

I heard some units last night at the John Mellencamp concert at the Coliseum using BPD 2 453.925 (127.3). Proactive units were not using this channel last night. Sometimes parking complaints in the area are dispatched over BPD 1 453.150 (127.3).

That would be my guess that they'd use the Proactive channel, or maybe even car-to-car (155.130) for regular patrol of the area, at least as far as BPD is concerned.

During the football game 4/15/06, I heard the BPD units at the game again using BPD 2 453.925. They told METCOM that if they needed anything, they would call METCOM on BPD 1 453.150. Note that there is very little Bloomington PD radio traffic on Ch 2 453.925 during an event at the Coliseum.

To listen from home, I would tune to 453.925. If I were going to a game/event, I'd listen to the three repeater inputs:
458.150
458.925
465.125

The referee uses a wireless mic (unknown freq)

*I didn't hear anything on BPD 2 453.925 related to the game.
*Bloomington Fire now uses 154.160, but nothing game related was heard on there either.

Updates/corrections

467.900 tone is really DCS271; DCS274 (listed above) is a typo and isn't correct. 467.900 is used for promotions, contests/games, scoreboard ops, spotlights, etc.
464.550 appears to be used by Guest Services
462.5625 might be used by staff serving the Luxury Suites
467.925 is the US Cellular Coliseum Maintenance channel.

A Bloomington PD officer was on a traffic detail outside the stadium and he appeared to be monitoring 453.150.

Normal PD and Fire are already digital (on Starcom21).

Bloomington PD and Fire have elected to stay on UHF and VHF analog respectively.

Coliseum 2012 frequencies during Edge football game

Concessions was now on 464.500 DCS311. Didn't hear anything on 467.875 DCS251 that they used to use.

I also heard a new one 461.1125 DCS331. I didn't hear enough on it to know who was using it.

I didn't hear the 2 FRS channels that I'd heard in the past. Also 467.900 DCS271 wasn't used either but maybe that's only used for hockey games.

The frequencies in the database for Maintenance and Guest Services are still in use.

I will plug these into my uhf kenwood at home paired with my diamond and see what I can hear cubn.
Weekends seem to be pretty active the last time I listened to them. :D
