Twice today I've heard The USCG on the Michigan system on (G=EVENT 15) in the UP in the Houghton area. Has anyone else heard the USCG on the state system?

Twice today I've heard The USCG on the Michigan system on (G=EVENT 15) in the UP in the Houghton area. Has anyone else heard the USCG on the state system?

I drove thru Berrien County once and heard them on one of the sherriff talk groups. Berrien is on the very southwest side of the state.

I heard the Ludington station on in Mason county last summer. They were on 53COM.

Huh...We had the Motorola's when I was in but didn't know they now have them on 800Mhz...What was said? I will have to find my placard on the radio to see what talk groups were in it...BRB...

They were talking about a suspect involved in a stolen snowmobile and some pot found in his car. They were talking about getting the right paperwork if they question him. They were also talking about now having to do survailance with the US BP. And that the 800mhz radio's work and their cell phones don't. All the FAX numbers they gave were 906 Area Code.
