Ok, so I'm going camping in the Mt Hood National Forest - again (love it there) I have found a few VHF freq's listed as USFS - and I have their TGID on the PPB system, but I didn't hear anything on the VHF freq's last time I was up there.... Any ideas ? Thanks !!

What Freqs do you have?

ZigZag & Ripplebrook RD channels have been VERY busy this week.

Thanks ! I was up on June 1st, and I THINK I was on 169.950 in the area of FR 58, and didn't hear anything - I probably should have been listening to the Ripplebrook Channel.

Thanks again !

UPDATE:

So, I found out that the USFS Law Enforcement officers are actually dispatched on CCSO "CH 2" for the ZigZag / Estacada area. They use the VHF for fire watch / administrative stuff relating to the forest.
