I've only recently started monitoring USAF on the HF bands. The RR Wiki page has some good info about the network, but the one question I can't seem to find any answer for is:

Is this on USB, LSB, or AM ?

I don't think the choice of sideband would follow the ham convention of LSB below 9 Mhz. I know commercial systems are pretty much all USB.

Thanks!

the beauty is once you have found a freq , you can EASILY toggle between the SB and see which one gives you clarity and then fine tune if necessary

95% of military is going to be usb

^^^^This

The last time I heard a US mil voice transmission in LSB I know it was operator error.

The Chinese and sometimes the Russians do like LSB though. Many Chinese mil transmissions are LSB.

T!
When I was working with USN comms, LSB was specifically not allowed, except as part of ISB. (Which was exceedingly rare.)
