USAF Thunderbirds Indy 500 flyover

The USAF Thunderbirds demonstration team is scheduled to do a diamond pattern flyover during the pre-race ceremonies (sometime between 1:00 pm and 2:30 pm) for the Indianapolis 500 this Sunday, August 23.

Apparently, the team is already in town. Their planes have been spotted doing practice runs over the Speedway and parked at the Million Air hanger at Indianapolis International Airport.

They used 141.175 when they arrived this week. Might also opt for 235.250 if they talk with Indy Approach on VHF.

I saw a tweet that they "buzzed the tower" in downtown Indianapolis, but the tweet did not say which tower or include photo/video. A photo of the diamond formation over the Soldiers & Sailors Monument would be cool.
