Is it true that trunker will not work with an serial adapter to USB? I only have USB on my new laptop. And I can't seem to get Mtrunker32 to work either. Thanks in advance for any help and/or suggestions.
I have heard, and personally had hit and miss results using USB adapters with different applications. The one's that I have tried worked for some of my apps, but none worked for all. So I ended up buying the Socket PCMCIA to Serial adapter (http://www.socketcom.com/). While the Socket is a bit "pricey", it works for everything that I have... GPSes and radios.

Yes it is true for DOS Trunker (to the best of my knowledge). As for MTrunker32, since you feed the sound card, that can't be the problem (unless you talking about controlling a radio.)
If you must have a RS-232 adapter, than follow Dewey's advice and obtain a one for the laptop.
