I recently found USB version of the CT17 on EBAY made in china for about 20 twenty dollars including shipping. The cable does require the installation of an USB driver, but that was not difficult. I also made an adaptor cable and I can also use it in place of an ICOM OPC478. I can send you instruction how to make the adaptor for that purpose.
