USB driiver

Alright I have a problem today when I tried to hookup my scanner via USB i got an error. I have reinstalled the driver n mycomputer anumber of times it installs fine. Now when I go to the device manager it's saying "Unknown device".

It's the standard Uniden Scanner cable. I tried all USB ports and tried different USB devices in the ports, I tried reinstalling the driver, three times So I know it has to be the cable. The problem with ordering another one is it will be my THIRD CABLE

If you mean the USB-1, make sure you are using the most current drivers (new drivers were issued by the chipset manufacturer a month or so ago). Link to them at: USB-1Drivers < UnidenMan4 < TWiki

Yup I got the new chipset and installed it properly. Like I said the port is fine! I hate to buy a third cable but it looks like that's what I have to do
