In trying to reduce the number of computers I run, I have decided to run trunker on my laptop. The only problem is that is doesn't have a comm port. Would trunker work with the data slicer plugged into a Serial<>USB adapter?

I currently run it on a Windows 98 machine. Last time I tried running it under winXP, I had no luck. I have searched for an answer, but am unable to find if this problem has been fixed. Also, I understand that UniTrunker will work under XP, correct?

Thanks

Nick, have you thought about running T4Win instead? Then you could just use audio port.

I am running UniTrunker on XP.

Some folks have gotten it to run under Windows 2K and XP. Search here and on the trunker list at yahoogroups.

Yes ... that will work too. You'll want to use sound input instead of a data slicer / serial port.
