USB TTL Cable from DigiKey

Anybody every try one of these USB cables from DigiKey to see if you can program a Pro-106/197 scanner with it??

I was wondering... especially since it's only $20 plus shipping

It is made by FTDI and is almost 6 ft long.
Might be worth the money just to see if it will work.
