81A (primary) and 83A (secondary) are the two main ops channels they use.
When in comms with boaters they're usually on 22A.

Altho you may find one or two frequencies are used regularly in your area, you WILL [YMMV] find
others in use from time-time, for visiting fleet who stay on their home Nets and then the errant channel flipper

VHF Marine is not USCG. I have recorded 65 USCG transmissions (in the last 24 hours) and of those -- only 65 are encrypted.

Two examples of non-encrypted VHF CG use in the Seattle area are 5A (156.25 MHz) and 14 (156.7 MHz). These two VHF frequencies are used exclusively by Puget Sound Vessel Traffic Service. You will hear the operators refer to themselves as "Seattle Traffic".

Not long ago I was in the secure radio area of our local USCG base, I needed credentials and an escort to get in there. Besides radio communications with the public and between some USCG assets within the marine band, there is a lot of encrypted comms going on that we will never hear. Lots of it on many different nets that are active 24/7.
