Use WolframAlpha to find flights

Check this out. Go to http://wolframalpha.com/ and type "flights overhead" into the search box. The results will give you flight information including altitude, flight name/number, aircraft type, and distance from you as well as other info. . Not 100% accurate. But it is really cool!

Yes, they are in your area. If you click the flight name/number it will give you a map and details about the flight. It works very well for me.
