I am new to using a scanner, I have a uniden cb, with a little wilson cb antenna, I just bought a uniden bc350c. I was wondering if I could use my cb antenna on my scanner. If I can't can anyone tell me what I could use so that I can still use both and possibly only have one antenna

It won't hurt to try it, but it probably won't perform very well. CB antennas are designed to work in the 27MHz area of the spectrum. Most scanning today is done above 140MHz. Buy hey, a coat hanger will work...to some extent. Give it a try. If signals are local, it will work, but maybe not as good as what the scanner came with.

For goodness sake dont connect the scanner to CB antenna while CB is on. If you hit the mike button, ZAP goes the scanner. For that scanner you could just run a piece of coax up to windshild corner and skin back 15" of receive element and fit behind windshield moulding.

Good point! I did realize that may be his intentions. I naturally assumed he was going to use it on one, or the other. Not both at once.
