Using a magnetic mic mount for mobile mount

I currently use a Ram Mount Finger Grip Mount for mobile operation. Due to the large battery, it’s kinda shaken and really not secure well.

It was brought to my attention to check out the Magnetic Mic Mount sold online for $34.95. The magnet seems to be very strong, my question is this. The new system would mount to the scanner by use of the existent button mounted on the back of the radio designed for the belt clip.

Will the effect of the magnet be detramental to my SDS100?

I use this one by Naztech it has a sticky plate that goes on my SDS100 with no ill effects
