There's been several messages lately about being new and having a WS1040, 1065, PRO-651....these are all clones of the original PSR-500 and 600. Often newcomers seem to get the radio and have no idea how to proceed.

A couple of things to keep in mind;
a. These radios can only handle Project Phase 1 digital - they are unable to be upgraded for Phase 2, DMR, MOTOTRBO, NXDN or ProVoice
b. From all report, these radios generally don't handle simulcast very well
