Using Close Call

I turned on CC (DND), and it hit on an FM broadcast station. I don't want CC to hit on TV, FM, etc. broadcasts. I checked FreeScan and it's set so CC will ignore Pager, Broadcast, UHF TV, VHF TV, and WX. So, I wonder why CC is hitting on FM?

How can I get it to avoid the FM broadcast band?

I am using a BC346XT.

It is possible that Freescan isn't properly setting that function, yet. Manually check in the radio:

MENU --> Srch/CloCall Opt --> Broadcast Screen --> Set Each Band

Then make sure FM, UHF TV, VHF TV, Pager, and NOAA WX are all turned ON.

That was it. They were all OFF.

FreeScan must not be correctly setting this for the new scanner. It doesn't appear to be setting the Backlight Mode correctly either.

I am going to have to spend some time going thru the menus to be able to change things directly on the unit.

Paul, we all appreciate your incredible help. I don't know any other company where a Product Manager is actually allowed to post regularly to user forums. It's one reason I'll stay with Uniden.
