Got the scanlist working, but one thing that I'm not seeing is how to get it to log/display name. I have it set up like shown, for example:
128.300 AM Delay=1.5 Approach VHF

But if it stops on this frequency it does not log it in DSD+ screen because it is not in the license file. If it stops on a freq that is in the license file (USA.csv) it does log it.

What am I missing here?

If you aren't sure of the format, it takes less than a minute to try it and edit it if it doesn't work. It would take longer to try to get an answer online.
Any of the lines in DSDPlus files can be edited to be ignored by putting a semicolon in front of the line.

I dont think anyone is waiting on a reply to try anything

I dont think DSD will show a conventional channel in the DSD window - I could be wrong though. Im using the other format (simpler one) and same thing

Actually,I found that if you add the channels into DSDPlus.Frequencies and DSDPlus.Siteloader they do show up.

Awesome - you just added them in as you would any other? I dont know if they added these features recently, but they certainly make DSD a whole lot more useful. You can monitor AM now too, by pressing -d

If you notice the bottom of the DSD+ screen is an entry I added that showed up. The AM freq of 125.300 RDU C VHF

When you save the Notepad file, do not save it as a ".txt" file type but save it as a "all files" type.
The info is in your Notes file, simply search it for Scanlist
Create the file in Notepad. Name it FMP24.ScanList. Notepad will save as FMP24.ScanList.txt. In your File Explorer right click the file that you created and rename the file FMP24.ScanList by deleting the .txt
After a long search through the forums and internet along with a lot of trial and error I am looking for some guidance on the setup of DSD+ to monitor and scan several NXDN/NexEdge conventional channels/frequencies. Any direction would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
I have created my FMP24.ScanList and have FMP24/DSD+ scanning my NexEdge4800 frequencies of interest. But the audio that I am getting is garbled 90% of the time. If I setup my scan list to scan P25 or FMN conventional channels the audio is good. For the mode in my scan list I have tried using NexEdge48, NexEdge4800, NX48, NX4800, NXDN48 and NXDN4800 and they all sound the same. Here is the text from my scan list.

454.1125 NEXEDGE48 BW=5 DELAY=5 CH-2 Northwest Downtown
463.825 NEXEDGE48 BW=5 DELAY=5 Ch-3 Northwest Downtown
451.8875 NEXEDGE48 BW=5 DELAY=5 Ch-4 Northwest Downtown
463.225 NEXEDGE48 BW=5 DELAY=5 Ch-5 Northwest Downtown
462.125 NEXEDGE48 BW=5 DELAY=5 Ch-6 Northwest Downtown
454.625 NEXEDGE48 BW=5 DELAY=5 Ch-7 Northwest Downtown
454.5375 NEXEDGE48 BW=5 DELAY=5 Ch-8 Northwest Downtown
454.200 NEXEDGE48 BW=5 DELAY=5 Ch-9 Northwest Downtown

Here is the text from the batch file that I use to start the process. This is the same batch file that I use to start monitoring a Trunked P25 site.

start FMP24 -rc -i1 -o20001 -b12500 -g33 -v100 -P0.0 -f462.125 -_1 -wsl50.880
start DSDPlus -rc -i20001 -E -g250 -fa -T -v3 -O NUL -_1 -wsl50.830 -wss100.200 -wel50.10 -wcl530.880

Every time I run the program I have to go to the event screen and select the Control Drop Down then select (Combined CC/VC Monitor) before I can hear the audio. I think I need to add the -rv parameter but sure where.

Why are you conventional-scanning a NEXEDGE trunking site??
I am trying to set this up for a friend who is closer to the NexEdge system than I am. I can't hear it from my location but I can hear a system used by wrecker drivers. I was thinking that if I scanned all but the control channel that would be the same as scanning a conventional NexEdge set of frequencies. It works when I do the same for a local P25 trunked system.

so you get uncoordinated reception of any conversation on that channel, and can't track talkgroups...

Why not just set it up properly?
I have been reading through all of the update documentation but have not been able to figure out all the caveats of the software setup. I got to where I am today with a lot of trial and error. I have watched lots of videos on DSD and read what I could find. Could you point me to a good resource? Thanks

"I am trying to set this up for a friend who is closer to the NexEdge system than I am."

So what system/site does he want to monitor? Which RR DB entry is it?

Ok, so they're actually conventional and you're using local trunked traffic channels for testing purposes.

By the sounds of it, you have it working except for the fact that you have DSD+ starting in control channel monitoring mode (-rc) instead of passive monitoring mode (-rp)

My current configuration for FPM24/DSDPlus is now scanning my 7 NexEdge conventional frequencies and the audio is great. I have added several conventional FM frequencies to my scan list and they are being scanned. I still get audio form the NexEdge channels but I get no audio from the FM channels. Looking at the DSDPlus DSD-------------- monitoring window and can see the NXDN48 channel activity but I see no activity for the FM channels. When no frequency channel is being received at the top of this DSD---------- window I see a No Signal indication. When either a NXDN48 or FM channel the No Signal indication goes away. I think this is telling me that DSDPlus is get a signal from FMP24 when a FM channel is being received. I have read through the FMP24, DSDPlus and Software change documentation several times. After reading the documents I assume the FM signals are demodulated as a default and does not require any setting in the start batch files. Could be a bad assumption. I don't have anything in my site or site loader files. here are the 2 lines from my start up batch file.

start FMP24 -rc -i1 -o20001 -b4 -g32 -v100 -P0.0 -f460.62500 -_1 -wsl50.880
start DSDPlus -rp -i20001 -E -g250 -fn -T -v3 -_1 -wsl50.830 -wss100.200 -wel50.10 -wcl530.880

Any help here would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
