mciupa:

Pro96.com works with a 325?
Would you explain to me how I can set it up. The instructions are slightly different than the screen

The Coles Notes version:

Park the 325 on the Control Channel you want to study have your cable plugged into a COM port in your computer.
Make sure the port speed is 115200 on your scanner. It has to be programmed in as a site. It will NOT WORK if you find a Control Channel in SEARCH Mode.

Open the software, click on EDIT at the top of the screen.
Click on Decode configuration. Decoding Scanner model is BCD396XT. Select port speed 115200 on the software.
Rescan the Communications area. A Port should be populated in the drop down. Click OK
Click the Read Data From Radio tab.
Let the games begin.

Can't get it to read the proper com port

I have 2 ports on this laptop I can use

When I stuck it on port 5 it was able to read the scanner and I tried to do what you said but the communications port was empty and I couldn't rescan it or put in port 5.

I tried it in another port, port 3 connected scanner at 115200 and 396XT. The scanner connects as port 3 and when I click on communication the control port is empty and I can't populate it.

Took pictures
Maybe u can look at them.

I can try to load it onto an older computer and see if it works there

The scanner must be turned on. It will not read the COM port if the scanner power is off. If you just plugged it in to the laptop when it was turned off and opened the software, it would act like that.

When I click DECODE CONFIGURATION the Serial port is 5
When I click scanner control I cannot change the Control port : Com 3.

Below the Control Port Communications it says

The port selected to Control this scanner may not be the same port that is used to read data from the Pro96! If the same port is selected Control of the scanner will be disabled.

Does this program want to be harder to work?

And yea, everything the program is up the scanner us on and held on a Control Channel part of a system, in this case a fave list

Eric... in that photo it looks like you are on a Fleetnet site, which Pro96Com will not work with. Make sure you are testing on a pure P25 system like Hamilton, Halton, PSRN etc... whatever is best for your immediate area.
