Using RRDB XML Program for Programming BCD396T

I have been able to get the ReadXML program to create .USD files for the
Uniden Program. However, it brings accross the Description not the 16
character Display data. Short of using cut and paste, has anyone figure
out how to get the "Display" data into the ReadXML program instead of
the much longer description?

You'd have to get the source code for the program, modify it and recompile it.

If you think the second part is hard, try doing the first part.

(Short answer - you can't do it.) Whoever wrote the program (Paul?) could put in an option.

If by any chance Paul (or company) is in the mood for making changes to that program, I sure would appreciate it if it was compiled in something that did not require the ".net" framework.

I finally figured out why it won't run on my laptop - I have .net 2.0 beta installed. Stuff written on 1.1 isn't forward compatible - or 2.0 isn't backward compatible. Just one more reason to love .net.

I removed my .net v2 also then downloaded the v1, and it would not work it would stall after the logon.
I then did a windows update and let the system update it with a newer version of V1.

Now I have no problem at all just wish I could get conventional systems also.

Since I need 2 on this computer (it's my development machine), I installed 1.1 and RRDB on my house server and it works. I make the .usd file on the server and move it here to send it to the 396.

As I said, I love .net - N O T.
