It MAY be possible but there is no guarantee it will resonate properly on the intended frequencies. In any case avoid glass mounts, being transformer coupled they can be highly problematical to set up and due to transformer losses inefficient.

You'd be better off with another sort of disguised transmitting antenna if you're a LEO undercover or drive a fancy car with a cranky wife but otherwise I don't see a need for one.

I agree with KB2VXA. Also scanner antennas may not be able to handle the power applied to them. They are probably designed with components that are not rated for watts.
