Has anyone had success with using the R8600 as the source radio for decoding P25 Control data?
I usually use Pro96Com with 996 series scanners these days but my R8600 performs better on 700 MHz. in my setup and I would love to be able to use it to decode control data.

I use the 12kHz IF out of mine into the "Baseband from Sound Card" input on SDR# software, tune that software to 12kHz, and then pipe it out to DSD+ FL via a virtual audio cable. It's always worked great for me. I also use the KGTone software at the same time for decoding CTCSS and DCS tones immediately instead of fighting with the 8600's clunky tone squelch decoding feature. With that I can watch any P25, DMR, NXDN, etc. CC's within reach.
