Using the RR Web Service with Butel's ARC 250?

Can somebody please expain exactly how to use the Web service with the ARC 250? I can't remember exactly how to use it........I click on it and it does nothing or goes nowhere and I know I used it once a while ago but don't remember now! I can' t find any complete explanation on the RR website here to explain the useage. I'm having a dumbass attack I guess! Thanks...........

I think you'd have to look in the Butel documentation. All the program should ask you for is your login and password. After that you should get a choice of countries, same as the list on the site itself. Then (if you chose the US) a choice of state, etc.

Are you trying to program a Uniden scanner? If so please check the Uniden forum. I believe that is where I have seen posts from Butel before.

The Butel Web service is a stand alone program which imports a trunked system only from RR in CSV format. This makes the data available through copy/paste into ARC.

Access the program from Start>Butel>RadioReference.

The standalone application generates CSV files. You can copy data from the csv file and paste into ARC250 or other software. ARC246 and ARC396 already have this radioref import option integrated.

No sorry, we have no plans for a Mac version. I know that some people run Virtual PC with other arc packages and this seems to work

This is a free application and released 'as is' , we have now integrated this in existing software packages ARC246 and ARC396 and other ARC packages will follow.
