Anyone know if a UT-122 P25 moudle will work in a D-star capable mobile rig, like the IC-2200H. Can't have a scanner in a vehicle in NY, but want to listen to NYS Electric & Gas. In my R2500, you can use either or, but not both. Same socket for both modules. Anyone tried this?

Tnx & 73,

All the PCR/R2500 receivers have two sockets for option boards except the Japan Domestic version which is missing the socket which the UT-122 would plug into. The two sockets are not interchangeable. The left socket is for the UT-122 P25 board and the right socket is for either the UT-108 DTMF decoder board or the UT-118 D-Star decoder board but not both at the same time. Icom is very good to themselves and the UT-122 P25 board will not fit into any other radio that they make. Also the UT-118 D-Star board will not fit into any of their other radios.
