I can't seem to get the PCR1k to voice follow at all. Looking at the logs, I see that the radio resets after it is sent a command to tune a freq. Is that normal?

Code:
<I004
>I0?
<I004
>I0?
<I004
PCR1000(0) tunes 852300000
>K00852300000050200
>K00852300000050200
>K00852300000050200
PCR1000 restarting ...

In the receiver window, it seems to follow the calls just fine. I have the vol set to 250 and the sq. at 65. I can adjust the squelch and it will give me sound (static) through the speaker. However, I know the radio is not tuned to the right frequency because I set the park frequency to the control channel. With the squelch above the threshold, I hear nothing , either parked or following.

I do have a second receiver with tap set as "Signal". Any ideas on where I screwed up?

I've used PCR-1000's with Trunker/Unitrunker/et al for several years without issue, so I'm also unsure what is causing the problem you're seeing.

The one thing that has caused problems for a lot of people with 1000's is EEPROM corruption. If you have a known-good copy of your EEPROM, I'd try pushing that back into the radio before doing anything else.

Hope that helps.

It was my understanding that EEPROM corruption only affected the actual receiver, not the serial comms, but I may be mistaken. I'll look around for a back-up; wouldn't hurt.

I use TrunkPCR and several other PCR1k programs without any trouble. I captured some serial data from between TrunkPCR and the 1000 when it was following the same system to compare notes, but haven't had time to go through it.

Any solution? I have the same issue

My PCR1000 is also not being programmed to the right frequency by unitrunker. Even when I park it on a nearby FM broadcast frequency, I hear only background noise. Since the vol/sql settings work it is obviously not a com port issue.

TalkPCR has no problem controlling the radio either.

Thanks-

Tim

ps: I also tried the latest preview version (1.0.3.12?) but no joy. Also notice that that version does not have a Vol/Sql option for the PCR1000?
