Does anyone know why radio ID 55763 keys up with no audio at least once per minute 24/7 on Utah Co Fire/EMS TG? It is very annoying to say the least. I have no idea which agency the ID belongs to. Any ideas on this? Thanks

This won't tell you who it is, but at least you might know what it is.
Talk Group 55763 is Talk Group 55760 plus 3 Status Bits.

MOTOROLA STATUS BITS - Example:
42656 ID+0 Normal Talkgroup
42657 ID+1 All Talkgroup
42658 ID+2 Emergency
42659 ID+3 Talkgroup patch to another
42660 ID+4 Emergency Patch
42661 ID+5 Emergency multi-group
42662 ID+6 Not assigned
42663 ID+7 Multi-select (initiated by dispatcher)
42664 ID+8 DES Encryption talkgroup
42665 ID+9 DES All Talkgroup
42666 ID+10 DES Emergency
42667 ID+11 DES Talkgroup patch
42668 ID+12 DES Emergency Patch
42669 ID+13 DES Emergency multi-group
42670 ID+14 Not assigned
42671 ID+15 Multi-select DES TG

DES is a type of encryption. Impossible to monitor.

Jon,

I have seen this as well, and I share your pain.

I believe it to be a VHF-Ucan patch used in south Utah County for those who do not yet have a 800Mhz radio. I leave Unitrunker running quite a bit to identify new TG's and to gather useage statistics for known TG's. This one always shows up on the stats as one of the most used radios, but I know for a fact it is not even near the top (at least not on purpose). I have also heard multiple units from multiple smaller-towns ID themselves from this same radio.

I remember early-on changing it's name several times, but for a long time I have kept the name "UtCo South Fire Rptr" and have not been compelled recently to change it.

Yes it's still doing it.

As BChris points out, multiple units from smaller towns ID themselves from this same radio so it could be that intermod is getting into the VHF patch is keying up the 800 MHz side.

BChris do you hear random keying up on VHF side down there?
