I find it interesting how other states operate the PSAPs/Pub safety agencies so I go around listening to feeds in other states.

Right on. Only curious on my part.

But back to your OP ... idk... The Utah Forum isn't very active unfortunately. BUT maybe someone can provide some info for ya.

Ok, so I've been listening to the Utah County Feed for about 2 or 3 months, so far what I've gotten from it is
1. PD is always active (Mostly UHP)
2. FDs are using PulsePoint and a station # unit numbering system (Unit number #s listed below) I will be putting the #s in the wiki soon.

Station 21 - Provo FD - Battalion, Rescue, Ladder, Medic
Station 22 - Provo FD - Engine, Medic, Battalion
Station 23 - Provo FD - Ladder, Medic
Station 24 - Provo FD - Engine, Medic, Brush
Station 25 - Provo FD - Medic, Ladder

Station 31 - Orem FD - Engine, Medic
Station 32 - Orem FD - Engine, Medic

Station 34 - Orem FD - Engine, Medic. Battalion

Station 145 - Santaquin FD - Engine

Station 151 - Salem FD - Ambulance, Rescue, Chief

Would someone from Utah County or the area know if all structure fires are considered a first alarm once dispatched is is there a level before the 1st alarm? Or is it a completely different system

Nice list. thank-you for sharing.
I seem to recollect a similar list being prepared for Salt lake City/County, a short time ago. I also think I was suppose to add some info for Davis Co. I guess I lost track.
I still find it amazing that todays technology allows a person in Illinois to copy comms in Utah and share the info. (y)
(I am also surprised that an EMT student has the free time to do this ;) )

Couple of notes on Eagle Mnt. (UFA)
Station 251 has crew of three for a medic engine and an ambulance (me251 & ma251). They'll jump on whatever rig is appropriate for the call and leave the other out of service.
Station 252 has a full time crew of 4 staffing the medic ladder (ml252), a type 6 brush truck (e6252), and an ambulance (ma252). There is no engine at 252. Between 0900-2100 ma252 is staffed with part time medics and magically becomes ma253. ma253 becomes the first due ambulance on any medical in eagle mnt. between 2100-0900 a medical call gets the closest ambulance, example a medical in 251's area at 4am would get ma251 as the first in crew and ml252 as the heavy apparatus to support.
There is no station 253 yet. ma252 becoming ma253 is done for central dispatch to keep track of the personnel changes.

Similar to eagle mnt, there is no station 53 in American Fork. Medic ambulance 53 is stationed at 51 with the other units.
station 51 is huge, in addition to the frontline units there are reserve ambulances, a water rescue unit, heavy brush, water taker, and a reserve engine. I'm probably forgetting some too.

As far as structure fires go, it's more or less a standard first alarm. I can't think of anything major different in metro utah co vs anywhere else.

I'm in EM and this is interesting info.

Also for the record Station 251 is in EM City Center and Station 252 is in the Ranches on Pony Express Parkway.
My guess is that future Station 253 will be in the White Hills area near the new Tyson plant near SR 73.

Also Am. Fork only has one station (Station 51) downtown. A new station (Station 52) will begin construction this year "in the northeast part of the city" according to Mayor Brad Frost in a recent Daily Herald piece.

Also there are:
Station 11 - Utah County Fire (Wildland and Urban Interface)
Station 160 - Goshen
Station 170 - Genola
Station 190 - Woodland Hills
Station 220 - Elk Ridge
Station 230 - Cedar Fort

The city fire departments listed are volunteer. The county fire crews work a lot of fires on unincorporated county areas and assist the cities on brush fires within their areas.

As far as Cedar Fort there is an engine, brush, tender and squad. Squad 230 is an EMT unit as they do not have an ambulance. UFA (Eagle Mtn) has ambulance for all of Cedar Valley (Eagle, Cedar,Fairfield and BLM areas like Five Mile Pass Recreation Area.)
Cedar Fort Fire also serves Fairfield but UFA is part of any first alarm fire call.
