I want to program in some Utah Co. stuff but seems that the listed TGIDS are not correct. Will it work of I round them up to a 16 bit? or does anyone have the correct ones? primarily sheriff's, Orem, UVSC and BYU PD. Also what is the best UCAN site for Utah county?

I am getting good Control Channel signal off 866.4250 (UCAN Site 18 West Mountain) & 867.6625 (UCAN Site 04 Utah County) South end of the valley just of SR-73.

I have not noticed a problem with the RR listed TGID's. UVSC, BYU, Ut Co SO all very active during the day while I am there. You also get a good bit of traffic on the city C2C channels.

At least you have something other programs like. I have Vista and it hates everything!

Site 4 and Site 18

Can anybody tell me if site 18 (West Mountain) and site 4 (Utah County) carry the same traffic for Utah County?

I will be down working an event in a few weeks that circles Utah Lake and wanted to verify what needs to be programed in...

I only program the Control Frequencies but, I do have both of those as my Utah County sites. At my job site I get both well and pick up a lot of traffic.

Not a lot of help but I think you will be fine with those 2 for, I am guessing, the ULCER.

Site 18 does not carry all the traffic that the Utah County SIMO carries. It will cary a talk group if there is a radio tuned to that talk group who gets a stronger signal from West Mountain than it can get from the Utah County Simo. Then it will drag that talk group onto the West Mountain site. But, there is not always a radio for every talk group that is closer to west mountain than any of the Utah County Simo sites.

Welcome, scnmn.

What you say makes perfect sense, but if there is a race around Utah Lake, it would be safe to ASS U ME that there will be medical and LEOs on the course which should affiliate to West Mountain. I would think that for such an event, a scanner would be able to pick up Utah County radio traffic without problems during the event.

Of course I could be wrong. Wouldn't be the first time.
