151.4Hz vs. 150.0Hz

Probably, my Pro-96 (don't know about other GRE/RS models) doesn't decode the military-standard PL tone of 150.0Hz. It usually does, however, decode transmissions in the Federal subbands of lowband as having a tone of "151.4". I just assume the tone is actually 150.0Hz

I appreciate the clarification. I'm new to lo-band and 6 meters.

Is 150.0 used on hi-band and uhf as well? Are there any other military pl's that differ from the normal chart?

I'm aware that the federal/military portions of the lo-band do not follow the same even numbered 20 kHz splits that the rest do. I had assumed that they used odd numbered 20 kHz splits, but the fact that 40.875 is used throws that out. So what step increment should I be using in those federal ranges?

It's safe to assume that 150.0 is used in other ranges as well...but that's just an assumption, I'm sure somebody else has a more definitive answer.

The question about steps is a tough one, the US Military uses 25/50 kHz steps throughout lowband (which means you'll also hear them on the civilian sections of lowband from time to time) but there are many allocations using 10 kHz steps, I've logged lots of strange data transmissions in the 32.xxx MHz range, usually ending on a 10 kHz step. So my advice would be to use 5 kHz steps if possible, and then use 20 kHz steps in the non-Federal bands.

However, when lowband really really opens up, I would switch to 10 kHz for the non-Federal as well, as you'll start to hear stations from Mexico and farther south, especially in the 29.700 to 34 MHz range. I have also logged Canadian fishing fleets using odd-numbered steps around 30 and 31 MHz, some even using voice inversion.

The NATO pl 150.0 is only used in low band radios 25-65mhzs some radios as high as 88mhzs,But its not used in hi band or uhf. This might be why scanner builders dont put it in there scanners. It would be nice if they did.
my 780 will not decode 150.0 50% of the time.

Doing some additional monitoring of 40.875 150.0pl, it turns out to be local, with communications between a base station and an aircraft, probably helo. I've also noted activity on 40.15 150.0pl, which is listed in the Utah database.

Southern California CHP continues to account for most of the traffic I have logged. At 6Pm local today(Wed, 9 Jun), the band was open and I caught the following:
