I have heard what sounds like an inter-hospital net being held on what is shown in the RR database as the Utah CD frequency, (155.025 mhz). Is this frequency used for anything else? I was listening to it 15 miles west of Wendover during one of my I-80 trips. I stumbled onto it as this is the same frequency used by the ambulance service in Winnemucca NV.

Thanks in advance.

"15 miles west of Wendover". If I understand my maps correctly, that would put you in the great state of Nevada (I spend a lot of time in the state of confusion). According to the Nevada database, you could have been listening to the Humbolt Co Medics.

It was most probably a repeater in Wendover. I am familiar with the Humboldt County Amblance Service as that is how I stumbled on this frequency. It sounded linka linked repeater system up and down the Wasatch Front.

Utah VHF 155.0250

Yes, Joen7, you are not alone. I live on the South end of the Wasatch Front, and heard the same thing from my house - a LONG way from Wendover. It sounded like they were verifying that they could communicate with all the healthcare organizations in the state. All the way down to very small state-certified care centers... painfully long list, and dozens of them far out of simplex or single repeater range for both of us. Was that what you heard?

Prior to that I had 155.0250 labeled in my personal DB as Utah State VTAC2 which would be pretty much statewide, however I had only heard activity on Sevier County EMS w/ a tone of C91.5 (must have heard that south of where I live - I do frequent the area). I have now added a second entry in my own DB with the same freq, no tone, Which I Named Utah State Healthcare Network. It resides in my Statewide Group.

As for 'the Utah CD frequency', I have no idea what that even means.

There are many EOC repeaters throughout the state on the 155.025 - 155.985 pair.

The pl for Kessler Peak is 192.8.
