Hey folks,
The following was discovered during the V8 practice day on Friday May 17 2013 at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas, USA. Since the frequencies are pretty much the same as have been used in past races in Australia (most notably at Bathurst) I figured they were worth posting/confirming.
Notes:
- "21 - Wilson Security" might actually be Lockwood. I heard someone calling for Fabian on the channel marked '21' at one point in the day.
- I posted SuperCheap Auto (#66) as "Stanley" because that's what they're running for livery this weekend, to appeal to American audiences.
- the frequency I show for 888 was listed on BathurstScan as being for #11 Fair Dinkum Sheds for the 2012 race on the mountain. I classified it as Lowndes' radio because he was coming out of pit lane when someone on that radio said "you're clear right up to ____" and the mentioned name was a driver just coming onto the front straight. The frequency listed on BathurstScan for 888 for 2012 had no activity today.
- I don't know who's using the frequency labeled as '30 iSelect'. That car/sponsor is not present.
You'll notice I don't have either of the Norton 360 cars nor Scott Pye nor Dean Fiore's frequencies. I tried to do searches and close call and came up dry. Maybe I'll have better luck tomorrow.
Race control was on the "usual" V8 frequency: 477.7, tone 141.3 Hz, including Tim (Race Control), the pit lane controllers, safety car, course car, and I believe the COTA safety trucks as well.
If anyone is at the track this weekend and in stand #7 at Turn 1, look for the guy with the red backpack and blue Toronto Blue Jays baseball hat, and come say hi.
