I tried searching the forum and google, but I wasn't able to find anything.

There is a programming cable available for the V82, but I can't for the life of me find software anywhere. The only place I got close was some italian website that had something called "ICOM V82 Programming Software" that was for sale. Does anyone know where I can get any software for this radio?

Also, I'm looking for a method to use this radio in my vehicle (cigarette lighter). I noticed that this accessory isn't available for this radio. I've looked around online at battery eliminators. Has anyone used these before? Are they safe? Will they work with this radio? And, if I was to get one.. I would need a 12V, correct?

I answered my own question on the programming software. I guess my brain was just having a bad day that day. It was staring me in the face.

Anyways, I'm still curious about the battery issue. This radio appears to only have 2 hours of battery life with the default battery. And it takes 6-18 hours to charge that battery with the default battery charger. You can purchase the most expensive battery from them ($70) and a desktop rapid charger ($80) to get a 6 hour battery life and a 1-2 hour charge. Honestly, I don't think its worth to pay that much just for 6 hours of battery life.

I was looking at this battery eliminator: http://gallery.bcentral.com/GID4864...minators/ICOM/CBE-210-battery-eliminator.aspx

It says that it works with the V8, which uses the same battery as the V82. Do you guys think this eliminator would work?
