VA Beach Fire/EMS

My VA Beach Fire and EMS radio traffic has gone silent today. I checked settings ....uploaded a fresh system from RR ..... I am using the Orion - Site 2 ....I get Full Bars on reception - it stops on TG - but no audio. I get an occasional sound - but nothing intelligible. I am using a 996xt - and I have never had a problem. Nothing has changed on my end - I am getting Norfolk, Chesapeake, Portsmouth all the same.

Thanks for any thoughts ....or fixes.

This system seems to be very hard to receive. Part of me wants to say is is the system, but no proof. Va. Beach seems to want all the bells and whistles for the system and forgets coverage, since sites cost a lot. Anyway…….
My best answer to you is antenna location. I have a Scantenna on my roof and still have issues. I did find, after a suggestion from someone here, to rotate or aim the antenna in a different direction slowly. I had a friend at the radio watching the "T" (Pro 197). When it got more steady I locked it down. Is it perfect, no, better? yes. GIve it a try.
