Va. Beach TRS Question.

I will be traveling down to Va. Beach this weekend and I need the latest info on the TRS used in the area. I have some conflicting information. I will have my 296 with me. Thanks in advance, Chuck.

Barney, I think the date in RR Database is correct. The attached zip has a ARC250 mem file for the area with bank 6 set as VBeach. Also and Excel file with most Trunking systems and a Win96 file.

Thanks FMON, I thought RR.com was correct, I just needed confirmation. I noticed your occupation, retired. I too will be retired soon and I'm returning to my old stumping grounds since I was in the USN stationed in Norfolk. Great area, great people. Thanks for your reply.

Roger that, welcome back, great military retire area. My first retirement is Navy also and the second is VA State Retirement as a teacher and finally gray hared and cranky.

BTW, sorry for the double post, just as I clicked send, I noticed the fourth word (date) was misspelled. I then hit the stop button and changed it to (data) and re-hit send. I'll learn someday why Lindsay provided an EDIT button. :wink:

Just some quick info. The SIU units (600 units) use 40304 Invest 1

I have listened to this system for years, and also searched for ID's and have never heard taffic on
(Police)

Also the Naval Base Fire is correct, but Police and PWC use 400 trunk. They have better radio's than we do.

A few years back FCTCL became part of NAS Oceana; Police (& I think Fire as well) switched to Oceana's freq's. BTW Oceana PD dispatch does have an 800 radio to talk to VBPD 2nd Precinct when needed. It's ID is 299.
