Also to clarify, on CONVENTIONAL P25 there is no Phase 1 or 2 as the Phase 2 protocol (TDMA 2 slot) only applies to trunked systems. SO its just standard P25 FDMA. Currently only the DMR format has TDMA on conventional. IMHO its a oversite on APCO's part to never have also came up with an plan for this option on conventional also. There are also a couple of VA facilities that have installed LTR (possibly converted by now to MotoTRBO DMR or NexEDGE NXDN) trunking systems . You can also do a search in the 380 - 410 MHz ranges to see if they might be piggybacking on one of the military/federal systems. Here in Indy, the VAMC Police have a dedicated 400 MHz freq, as well as full access to our local TRS, and the SAFE-T system.
