Make it simple ... 46.10 and 46.20. You'll hear 34[X} get banged out all day.

Valley Stream is on 453.325 ... since you can't hear them with the PL leave it on CSQ, but you can hear them with 136.5.

I grew up in Valley Stream, I am home often, and I listen to Valley Stream every time I head home to see my Mom.

Funny thing is that I also live in valley stream and the only department I hear on 453.325 pl 136.5 is Hewlett. However, when listening to CW on 453.875 I am able to hear VS. If I were to leave it on CSQ, I would also hear Franklin square and I don’t need to hear that

Yes, Justin, VSFD is also on Countywide, as Countywide UHF is 46.10/46.20. You can also hear VFSD on a few UHF cross-band frequencies.

Generally, you'll hear multiple departments unless you start plugging in the 2-tone frequencies into a pager, allowing the pager to trip and block everything else out.

If you can hear Valley Stream on Countywide UHF, and/or 46.10/46.20, what is the issue? You are able to monitor them.

I am not understanding the issue, since you clearly stated you are in fact able to monitor the dispatch for the department.

What 2 tone frequencies does VS use?

Ok. I understand everything except for what you have labeled as county wide and 3rd batt battalionwide. Some other info suggests that countywide is 1598.6 602.7 and that 3B battalionwide is 1465 518. Can you help me get this sorted out?

This is the info I have, and that is in my Unication G3 pager.

I serve on a multi-state contract Emergency Management Incident Management Team's command staff, so I keep most of New York State and New England in a G3 pager. The info programmed into my pager has so far proven to be accurate when tested.

Ok thanks. I’ll test it out and let you know what happens. And what is the countywide alert used for? It might sound like a stupid question, but it’s the WHOLE county so I’m confused.
