I maybe coming to Van Wert soon. I was wondering if they are using the state wide radio's or using there own stuff? I checked the database but I didn't see anything on Van Wert. At least not for the state system.
so nobody in Van Wert use the MARCS system then? Just using the i think the vhf channels. I'm looking for everything in Van Wart. County, City, Fire, EMS
There aren't many agencies (other than state agencies) that are using MARCS for their operations. Everyone is using their own systems in this part of the state.
You should be able to hear medical helicopters (at least off the Lima site) on LF-DISP 18896 and some occasional Lifeflight chit-chat on LIFEFLT 18976. If there is severe weather in the area, there may be some limited intercounty EMA comms on EMA-CONW 3536. Van Wert EMA will provide weather updates on the Ohio EMA freq. 155.805.
I think Van Wert and Van Wert County use the EDACS system it is an
800 system if memory serves right?
