can anyone tell me if the entire island rcmp is now changed over to vhf trunk and if there are anyareas that are still on the old system when iwas there in the summer you could listen from courtney north any info is appreciated thank you all

The only RCMP that are on a VHF trunk are those that are part of the CREST system (Sooke to Sidney). The rest are on conventional VHF (P25 encrypted for Shawnigan Lake to Nanaimo, last time I was up that way), and analog from Parksville up.

That trip was a few months ago, so things may have changed towards the digital encrypted side since then.
