For those of you in central California, the L.A. Times is reporting an ICBM test launch tonight (between midnight and 0600 PDT). Should be some interesting radio activity I would think, not to mention the sight of it climbing out over the Pacific.

Hiding in a coffee shop.
I'll be fast asleep (hopefully), but many years ago I saw one launched earlier in the evening. My wife and I were at a drive in theater near Santa Cruz and were able to clearly see it to the south.
Pretty good light show.

Those "in the know" advise that this type of launch usually goes at the start of the "launch window", which, in this case, is 12:01 AM (PDT).

Launch happened around 00:05

That's what I meant ... lol!!! Still, what you posted, I would pronounce "Twelve-O-Five", and what I posted as Twelve-O-One". However, I can see certain agencies referring to it as Zero-Zero-O-Five.

Probably related, I saw an E-6B TACAMO on www.adsbexchange.com flying a racetrack east of San Nicholas Island at around 2300 last night. I was unaware of the launch and went to sleep.

:) close enough. I was just letting the others know that when it did happen, that's when it actually did.
