Anyone know how long it takes the FCC to issue you a vanity callsign after you have sent the app. and payment in?

It takes 18 days for them to process the application.

It took less than a month for mine to come through. I went through W5YI.org. It was worth the price.

I used this site N4MC's Vanity HQ

It took 18 days and I only had to pay the 12.30 to the FCC.

You can see what calls are available and which are pending approval.

You can even track your application. And it's all FREE. 73, Good Luck.

I just passed my Tech exam and am still waiting on my new license to appear in the ULS. I might get a vanity, I don't know yet. I've looked at the list of available 1x3's on N4MC's Vanity HQ and wouldn't mind having one that is simple or easily pronounced. I am going on to get my General and Extra Class. I think if you want a vanity sign, it would make sense to get one early before you start making tons of contacts, have QSL cards made, etc.
